The sun is shining and blossoms are out. My winter hibernation has been spent in my Brick and Mortar studio designing some new small scale products and having the happy chance of talking to customers who are passionate about buying locally designed and made. With only 2 weeks to go of this residency I am looking back at what an amazing experience it has been.It has been so great to be sharing studio space with so many talented, generous and big hearted creatives. We are all connected by a passion for our work and creative vision. So happy to be in a community that supports each other on our individual business journeys.I am now looking forward to continuing work on some exciting design projects, collaborations, looking for a permanent studio space (I'll keep you posted) and getting ready for The Big Design Market in Melbourne in December. That should keep me busy for the next week or two!

My first month at Brick+Mortar creative hub is too quickly coming to an end. What a wonderful experience to be in the first group of residences.A super talented group of creatives. The sharing of ideas makes it such an energizing and happy place to work. The best news is I will return on the 7th of July for 3 months. In my month off I will be working on 3 new pieces.Come and visit me in my cosy studio and see what I'm working on....and if you have work to do, use the free wifi in the downstairs cafe.

I am thrilled to be taking part in this Autumn’s Bowerbird Bazaar design market. I have designed 2 new small pieces that I am currently making to bring along to the May Event. The ‘Seed’ flower holder is a hand turned timber piece with a stainless steel water insert. It is designed to hold a single floating flower or with a Kenyan insert  one or two taller stems.”Rise and Shine” is a stackable jewellery container, hand turned from solid Victorian Ash with a felt insert. Both pieces are designed to compliment “Bud” Lamp. All 3 pieces will  be available from April through my website.
